Information sent on behalf of Leicestershire Police

Happy New Year from the Burbage Beat Team (lets hope its better than 2020)

Hello. Thank you for being part of Burbage Neighbourhood Link. Remember you can let us know what you think of Burbage by clicking on the link to fill in a short survey. Why not encourage your friends, family and Neighbours to sign up.  https://www.neighbourhoodlink.co.uk/YourViews

Still great news regarding crime in the village. No reported incidents in Burbage relating to burglary or vehicle crime over the last few weeks. Hopefully you all had a peaceful Christmas and New Year.

We have recovered vehicles from Workhouse lane, London Road and Rugby Road. These incidents were due to officers patrolling in the area and completing stop checks. Vehicles were seized due to issues such as no tax, MOT and no license. We continue to receive information regarding driving offences in the area so we are always mindful of these vehicles when out and about. If you have information regarding drink/drug drivers or other vehicle related crimes, please report online or call 101.

Report of suspicious behaviour on Balfour Close where a person was seen in a garden with a torch around 23:15 on the 28th, no reports of crime in the area. Also a report of a suspicious male on Sapcote Road at 20:45 on 27th December. We completed an area search but the male could not be located. No crime has been reported in relation to this.

Christmas and New Year can be a time where people can feel the stress and strains in life due to financial and social pressures, especially after the year we have just had. Here are a few links to help people if they need somewhere to turn. Sometimes having someone to speak to can make a difference. A lot of Police work can involve mental health issues, domestic violence and drug related issues. These issues can effect anyone regardless of age or background.
