Speeding Enforcement December Update

For more than two decades, speeding has been involved in approximately one-third of all motor vehicle fatalities. We all want to arrive safely at our destination. By slowing down we make our roads safer for our children, families and friends.

In response to feedback made by yourselves, the public, Neighbourhood Link Surveys, Social Media and Face to Face interactions we have completed the following speed enforcement in the month of December at the following locations, see the locations below:

Ab Kettleby – (30mph), 6 hours 22 minutes, 41 offences.

A606 Nottingham Road, Melton Mowbray – 7 hours 33 minutes, 27 offences.

A607 Melton Road, Waltham on the Wolds – 2 hours 10 minutes, 0 offences.

A607 Norman Way, Melton Mowbray – 1 hour 35 minutes, 0 offences.

About 30% of all traffic deaths that occur each year are caused by a speeding driver.
